The following notes were collected from family
bibles, World Family Tree Vol. 1 CD (all names taken from WFT have been
verified by a minimum of one other source), various censuses, social security
information, and documents both personal and on-line. When I have finished
arrainging the basic information that I have collected so far, I will endeavor
to "spiffy up" the pages and add links to all of the on-line resources
that have helped me in my quest. Please direct any questions, comments
or concerns regarding the content of this site to Joani
Cunningham.

According to The Biography of William Cunningham, William and child
Nancy were buried in this cemetery.
Really would like to find other documentation on William as biography
states that as a young man, he ran away from home to avoid military service,
ditched his uncle, who stowed him away on the ship he was a sailor on,
when he asked him to work as a sailor himself, then turned around and served
in the US Army during the Whiskey Rebellion in PA for the two years he
had supposedly run from Scotland to avoid. Finally, this tailor's son took
up farming and became a model citizen/farmer/doctor/circuit court member/road
commissioner who "figured very much in the early history of the county",,,
in the five years he resided in Trigg before he died??? The only thing
I can deduce from the above contradictions is that he must have been quite
a character! :-)
